Oh, London

It sure has been a while since I blog and what better way to start fresh with a little post on a short 2 day adventure trip I took with some friends to London.

And oh my I have one word to describe London and that would be amazeballs.  It’s buildings, landmarks and sites are just a must see if you ever visit.  I’ve created a list of the must see London attractions while you’re there.

1.  Big Ben

Big Ben is located in Westminster; its official name is the Elizabeth Tower named after Queen Elizabeth II in 2012 for her Diamond Jubilee. Big Ben is an iconic London landmark and a must on your list to see while you’re here!

2.  The Houses of Parliament

The Houses of Parliament’s official name is actually the Palace of Westminster!

3.  Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace is the London residence of the Queen. Located centrally Buckingham Palace is at the top of Pall Mall next door to Green Park and St James’ Park.  I got to experience a luncheon where everyone was dressed to impress!

4.  The London Eye

The London Eye was opened to the public in the year 2000, when it was first built it was the largest Ferris Wheel in the world and until the opening of the Shard in 2013 it was the highest viewing point over London. You can buy tickets to go up in the London Eye in one of the little pods!

5.  Tower Bridge

Tower Bridge is one of London’s most iconic landmarks crossing the river. The bridge has stood in London since the 19th century and is infamous for it’s drawbridge effect making it able to let tall ships through and down the Thames.

6.  The Gherkin

The Gherkin is the building that looks like the shape of a Gherkin; it’s become iconic to the London. The building itself is composed of offices so it’s not a monument you can go inside of but it’s well worth trying to spot on your trip to the city!

Skiing in Folgaria

Folgaria is located in Trentino, Italy and is one of the closest ski places from where we live.  A couple of our friends, hubs and I drove to Folgaria this weekend to experience skiing and snowboarding for the first time. Here’s a look at how my ski weekend unfolded…

The verdict

Although the prospect of skiing made me nervous at first, after my ski weekend in Folgaria I can’t wait to adventure other ski places for round two!  And despite some embarrassing falls and between tons of laughs, I ended up having one of the best weekend since I moved to Europe.

Brno, Czech Republic

Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul

This Cathedral dominates the Brno skyline.  It is an amazing view during the day but at night it’s just something out of this world.

Capuchin Crypt

This is a church on the top but once you go below its ground has extraordinary findings.  Due to the unique soil composition, and system of air holes incorporated into the Capuchin Crypt, the bodies of the monks laid to rest there have been amazingly well-preserved.

Old Town Hall

According to legend, this wasn’t a design fault, but rather a mason exacting his revenge on a city council, which failed to pay him for his work.

Christmas Markets

Trdelník; a sweet, fire cooked, cylindrical cake! YUMMERS

I have been to several Christmas markets in Italy but at least here in Czech; Brno was by far one of my favorites.

Welcome 2016

Happy 2016 everyone! Last night we were going to stay home and just spend New Years Eve watching TV and then hit the bed.  But then we decided to go to our friends and have a good time.  Which we actually did; we had so much fun.

This New Year we decided not to do any resolutions but instead do prayers for miracles.  God is a powerful God and therefore I know that what ever we ask for He will provide.

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” ~Mark 11:24

So, here is our list for 2016:
~ For our miracle baby!  We’ve been praying for this for the past two years, but God’s answer to us is just to wait.  We know that Jesus has our baby safely in his keeping, and that soon we will have her/him in our arms to guide and protect.

~ For hubs promotion in the military!  He’s soon to go to the promotion board and he’s a bit nervous.  Hopefully he passes it because I know it’s his desire.

~ For our marriage and our relationship with God!  Infertility + all the meds screw with your hormones.  And during this cycle I feel I was a bit hostile.  I want to grow deeper into our marriage and for that we also need a spiritual relationship with the Lord.

~ For our families!  We desire a sincere union in our families.  We pray for the health and their well-being.

~ For my TTC Sisters!  Struggling with infertility is not a joke its very painful and depressing at times.

~  For our health!  We both have been struggling with some health issues and a bit of a resolution here we both need to lose some weight as well.

We are praying declaring and believing in a God of miracles a God who can do far greater things than we can ever imagine.
